Founded in 1997, Exxel Outdoors is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of outdoor gear.

Our Retailers

We distribute to major retailers such as Target, Toys "R" Us, Amazon.com, Walmart and Kmart, as well as sporting goods chains such as Dick's Sporting Goods, Cabela's, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Big 5 Sporting Goods and many others. We distribute throughout the United States and export to Canada, Mexico, and countries thoughout Latin America, Asia and Europe.

What we produce

Sleeping bags, tents, camping sets, air beds, folding chairs, beanbag chairs, water sports vests, and hunting & fishing apparel. Exxel offers products that are high-performance -- providing weather resistance, breathability, UV protection, moisture wicking, motion fit, and taped and welded seams.

Made in USA program

We have the only major sleeping bag factory in America, located in Haleyville, Alabama, currently producing approximately two million sleeping bags per year. We currently make 80% of our sleeping bags in Haleyville, and with the goal of 90% in 2011. Through expanded production in Alabama we have recently brought manufacturing jobs back to America, increasing our U.S. workforce by 20%.

Just in Time inventory program

We offer one of the best Just in Time Inventory programs available, shipping to retailers with lead times as short as three-days.

Eco-Responsibility

Our Haleyville-produced bags are made of 80 % recycled materials, we recycle 98% of our industrial waste. We have taken additional eco-responsible steps in our production process, such as minimizing our packaging.

Our brands

Suisse Sport, X20, American Trails and Master Sportsman, as well as licensing agreements with Disney Consumer Products and Hello Kitty for the family camping and water sports categories.

Private label program

As a service to our customers, we also manufacture for their private labels.

Facilities

Haleyvilla Alabama is the home of our USA factory and serves as our Eastern US distribution center. In Los Angeles we have our corporate offices, design studios, showroom and Western U. S. distribution center, and we have a factory in Shanghai. Exxel employs over 300 workers between our facilities.
